Transforming organizations into sources of fulfillment and spaces for self-expression
Demanding productivity doesn't work!
Peak performance and productivity are natural outcomes when employees are happy
Making 'Happiness' every organization's strategy for peak performance and employee engagement
At the heart of our philosophy lies authentic self-expression, a transformative force guided by the PERK framework (which I was introduced to by Professor Dacher Keltner, Ph.D. and Emiliana Simon-Thomas Ph.D. as I studied for a professional certificate on “The Science of Happiness at Work”)— PERK is an Acronym for Purpose, Engagement, Resilience, and Kindness— recognized as the four pillars of happiness through studies. This philosophy also finds deep roots in psychological theories such as Abraham Maslow’s renowned hierarchy of needs.
Abraham Maslow, a prominent American psychologist, proposed a theory of human motivation based on a hierarchy of needs. His concept of self-actualization closely aligns with the essence of self-expression, representing the stage at which individuals utilize their unique talents and abilities in tasks they are best suited for. While the term ‘self-actualization’ is commonly associated with Maslow, it was initially introduced by Kurt Goldstein, a psychiatrist specializing in neuroanatomy during the early 20th century. Goldstein viewed self-actualization as the ultimate goal of every vision and Philosophy organism, emphasizing the desire for self-fulfillment and the potential of an individual to become fully actualized.

Building upon Goldstein’s idea that each human being, plant, and animal has an inherent goal to actualize themselves, PERKform maintains that self-expression enables self-actualization. This is the only path to lasting joy, happiness, and fulfillment, benefiting not only individuals but also organizations in achieving long-term growth and success. It serves as the driving force behind productivity, performance, and growth, recognizing humans as any organization’s most crucial resource.
Self-expression, in this context, entails embracing ‘your’ purpose, discovering engagement in personally meaningful pursuits, and embodying genuine kindness. Through the journey of self-discovery, individuals not only reveal their true purpose, passions, and values but also nurture empathy and kindness. Expressing these qualities i.e. Self-Expression in work fosters engagement and resilience, completing the recipe for happiness. The resulting increase in performance and productivity is an added bonus.

As self-expression fosters the sharing of unique voices and talents, it inherently enhances the diversity of ideas and skills.
We recognize that when individuals find happiness at work, it not only elevates their organization’s performance but also radiates into their personal and social lives, actively transforming society. As an organization with a social purpose, we are committed to realizing this vision through our collaborations with other organizations.
I have been fortunate enough to witness and participate in the technological advancements of this fascinating era.
